Rome's Christmas decoration

Rome's Christmas 20-metre tree was unveiled on the 2nd of December this year. I saw it yesterday. Many locals and tourists were walking and shopping close to the Spanish steps, named after the Spanish Embassy located there. That place is famous for the monumental staircase and its elegant baroque architecture.

People were also enjoying Christmas decoretion.

There were a lot of Christmas decoretions hanging on the front doors of older Rome's residential buildings.

I noticed that some holiday decorations had nothing to do with Christmas, such as the Wolksvagen Bettle, produced by the German company Wolksvagen from 1938 to 2003,

... and the polar bear.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature reports that the global population of polar bears is 22,000 to 31,000.

Have a nice weekend 🌲

  2. Rome is beautiful any time of year, but spending Christmas in this city would be wonderful and special.
Giorgio, you showed the Spanish Steps. I remember when I was in Rome, but unfortunately, we couldn't go up the steps :( They were closed to tourists because a fashion show was scheduled to take place there :(
Giorgio, I send you greetings and wish you a lovely Saturday and Sunday!!!
    P.S.
I'm happy because it's spring in Poland – 20 degrees Celsius today and Thursday :) I want weather like that for Christmas!!!

    1. I have already heard the weather in Poland is not as cold as it should be, as my daughter went to Krakow early this week. She stayed there 3 days and the weather was perfect 🍂 ☀🍁

Sorry you didn't go up to the Spanish Steps while you were visiting Rome. You wrote lovely words about Rome. Thank you for that, Anna 🙂

  8. Rome looks so beautiful dressed up for the holidays. That 20-meter Christmas tree must be an incredible sight in person. It’s funny that you spotted a Beetle and a polar bear mixed into the decorations. I loved seeing the close-up photos of the door decorations. Have a great weekend.
