Last year in late August my daughter took the picture below while she was visiting Nepal.
There is a great talk in Nepal on crop-raiding monkeys. I would have never thought that farmers in Nepal don't like those monkeys.
These creatures are found in the South Asian country in a wide variety of habitats, including urban areas.

...I hear that monkeys can ruin a farmer's harvest.
ReplyDeleteIt seems there is such problem in South Asian countryside.
DeleteSuch a sweet photo of mum and baby Giorgio :-D It's a great photo your daughter took :-D The monkeys need to eat as well.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it, Ananka. You sometimes publish lovely photos of animals on your blog.
DeleteGreetings.
Lindo mono. Te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely photo, Giorgio!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Irina :-)
DeleteYour daughter took a lovely photograph, thank you for sharing it here.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Dad used to capture these monkeys in Taiwan too. They attacked tourists visiting the farms
ReplyDeleteOh no, I've never heard of monkeys attack.
DeleteAmazing how these monkeys can be both charming to see and such a challenge for farmers.
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday, Giorgio!
Goodness that doesn't sound too good. I expect the monkeys are hungry. Nice capture.
ReplyDeleteIn Central Italy farmers have problems with bears.
DeleteMonkeys are common in our country, India, also. We took the land of their habitat so their reaction is obvious, I think. Otherwise, they are harmless. Wonderful click though! :)
ReplyDeleteRight, they need food.
DeleteThat is such a beautiful sight your daughter captured!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it, Alexandra. I know you love animals, as I 've just seen photos of ducks and deers on you blog.
DeleteA wonderful photo!!! I love animals, and just on Monday night, deer came to the small meadow across the street from my house, looking for food. A rabbit also comes at night, and my dad took out some carrots for him yesterday.
ReplyDeleteGiorgio, speaking of monkeys, I'll tell you an anecdote from my childhood (I was 4 years old then), which I recall from time to time :)
I was at the zoo with my parents, and in one of the cages there were monkeys, and they were swinging on the swings. What was my reaction? I started crying loudly and saying I wanted to go to the monkeys and play on the swings with tchem ;)
Giorgio, greetings to you!
:-) LOL ... little Anna thought the monkeys' cage was a playground 😃 That's a lovely anecdote, Anna.
