Himalayan monkey

Last year in late August my daughter took the picture below while she was visiting Nepal.

There is a great talk in Nepal on crop-raiding monkeys. I would have never thought that farmers in Nepal don't like those monkeys.

These creatures are found in the South Asian country in a wide variety of habitats, including urban areas.

  1. ...I hear that monkeys can ruin a farmer's harvest.

  5. Amazing how these monkeys can be both charming to see and such a challenge for farmers.

  7. Monkeys are common in our country, India, also. We took the land of their habitat so their reaction is obvious, I think. Otherwise, they are harmless. Wonderful click though! :)

  9. A wonderful photo!!! I love animals, and just on Monday night, deer came to the small meadow across the street from my house, looking for food. A rabbit also comes at night, and my dad took out some carrots for him yesterday.
Giorgio, speaking of monkeys, I'll tell you an anecdote from my childhood (I was 4 years old then), which I recall from time to time :)
I was at the zoo with my parents, and in one of the cages there were monkeys, and they were swinging on the swings. What was my reaction? I started crying loudly and saying I wanted to go to the monkeys and play on the swings with tchem ;)
    Giorgio, greetings to you!
