Gazans lives are not seen equivalent to others

First of all I would like to thank those members of our blogging community who left their thoughts regarding my previous post.
Regarding the ethnic cleansing of poor Palestinians this is the last post I write. The global dictatorship, who holds power over the world, has already decided to annex Gaza to Israel. The truth is that on the continental shelf  belonging to Gaza there are huge gas fields.

Many multinational companies are interested in the two gas fields located 36 kilometers off the coast of Gaza. On the 23rd of March I  already  wrote a post about the de facto annexation of all Palestinian maritime areas. Israel is carrying out ethinic cleansing and starvation due to the fact that Tel Aviv's next step will the annexation of the whole Gaza strip.

Huge congrats to the Colombia's president, Gustavo Petro, who early this week announced that not a single Tonne of coal will be exported to Israel, as Tel Aviv's soldiers are sistematically dropping bombs on innocent people.

Colombians are not accomplices in genocide and ethnic cleansing. The EU, US, UK, India, China, etc. haven't done the same yet.

Pope Francis' thoughts about Ukraine-Russia war

Last week we saw Turkey's diplomatic engaged both with the United States and Russia. The next step will be made by the US president, as he is going to hold separate phone calls with his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts.

As mentioned by Pope Francis in a 2022 interview, "NATO barking at Russia's door" caused the Kremlin to "react badly and unleash the conflict".

The interview was published by the Italian newpaper "Corriere della Sera" and other International news agencies.

It's easy to understand what was the reaction of the so-called Western world, considering that from that day on Pope Francis has never again expressed his point of view on the reasons that triggered Moscow's reaction.

On a sunny Monday I wrote down this post today, which is not related to tourist destinations or beautiful corners of the world. I know that some topics, such as Ukraine-Russia ceasefire or Palestine genocide, are boring. Sorry for that. It was just to share my thoughts, as it seems that those who barked at the Kremlin's gates (according to 2022 Pope Francis' interview) are now trying to make a negotiation.
Have a nice new week.

Stealing Gaza's gas reserves

While Western governments continue to cover up Israeli crimes, Gaza is being starved and bombed again. Why are we, Westerners, allowing it? That's so simple: Gaza could be one of the richest places on hearth if the development of the gas field off its coast would begin. The gas could also benefit the Palestinians of the West Bank whose electricity is bought from Israel at high prices.

Unfortunately,  in late October, 2023, three weeks after Israel began its military attack on Gaza, Tel Aviv's  government issued 12 licences for gas exploration to six local and foreign companies. Obviously gas exploration off the Gaza coast violates international law. Easy to see that Israel is making a de facto annexation of Palestinian maritime areas.

Glad to hear that some countries around the world refuse to surrender and accept injustice.

An empty suit and a Napoleon syndrome

On this sunny Sunday Italian newspapers show that we, Europeans, are at a crossroads in Europe history because of the insanity of two leaders: Macron and Starmer. Europe should not drag themself in Ukraine war, rather they should focus on diplomatic solution at any cost. The Italian prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, isn't snubbing anybody. She and other EU leaders are looking after their own people and their own coutries. They are not interested in helping weapons-makers to become richer by creating a never ending war in East Ukraine.

I think some people pretend to forget that in 2021, before Russia's invasion, US & UK military drills took place three times on the Ukrainian ground, close to the Russian border. And now two European leaders want to do the same mistake. NATO troops in Ukraine for peace is an insane reasoning, as this was the reason the whole thing started.

And last but not least, since yesterday Russians have been advancing sharply in the Russian region of Kursk. Consequently, I am sorry to see that Ukraine's sole territorial bargaining counter will disappaer soon, unfortunately. That's why Zelensky made a great mistake last week when he didn't agree on Washington ceasefire proposal. Last week at Washington' oval office he, the comedian, still had bargaing power. At present I am afraid Ukrainians have no choice but to lose Russian occupied territories. He will be judged by his own people.

China's increasing power

Since early 2000s China has been increasing its economic power, technological strenght, and national defense capability. Not to mention of Beijing's significant role in global politics. For example, in 2024 China showed its considerable role of being a reliable peacemaker between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Furthermore, China and India have recently agreed to carry out active interaction at all levels on bilateral and multilateral opportunities, powerfully built strategic communication, and enhance mutual political trust. I am so glad to hear such a great news, as in terms of international politics it means that unipolarism will not exist anymore. It's easy to see that the only country that owns military basis in more than 80 states around the world will be compelled to share its power.

The fact that Beijing is now hit by Trump tariffs on steel and aluminium leeds me to think that the US is challenging China using many tactics, including economic restrictions and military encirclement.
Sovereignity and dignity of all countries do not have to be subordinated to the hegemonic countries' investment management companies.

Billions $ dollars spent to maintain the establishment

During the last weekend more than 200,000 Romanian people gathered in Bucharest to stand up for their democracy. They demand their country back after the corrupt establishment canceled democratic elections. Romanians are demanding the resignation of Klaus Iohannis, who is illegally occupying the position of president of Romania, as well as that of the entire government.

The democratically elected president of Romania, Kalin Georgescu, is supported by more than 70% of the population. Along the streets of Bucharest there are only Romanian flags. No EU flags, No US flags and No Ukraine flags.

It easy to see that the establishment can't cancel elections because they don't like the candidate for whom people voted. That has nothing to do with democracy. It seems the same movie as we already saw when other democratically elected presidents in Europe were overthrown.

Obviously, the globalist media system, enslaved by the international corporate elite, hasn't mentioned that news. This is the end of democracy in the EU.

Trump-China relationship

It seems Trump have recently mellowed a little on China. The strongest economic and military power in East Asia is central to the business interests of the uncoming US President's friend, billionaire Elon Musk. The latter will also have a role in the administration as soon as Trump takes office.

In the meanwhile, two weeks before Biden leaves office, The US State Department has informed Congress of a planned $ 8 billion weapons sale to Israel. The weapons package would add to a record of at least $ 17.9 in military aid that the US has provided Israel since the beginning of the war in Gaza on the 7th October, 2023.

Last year Professor Emeritus of political sociology at Sonoma State University, Peter Phillips, wrote: "It is in the self-interest of the weapons makers to lobby their governments for the continuation of high level of military spending on weapons, using deterrence as a false rationale".

Prolonged the war in Ukraine

Investment management companies are still seeking to prolong the war in Ukraine to keep the cost of rebuilding higher daily.

If we were to analyse the main geopolics event, that have took place since late 2020, we would see more wars compared with the previous four years: the Iran-Israel esclation, the Ukraine debacle, the war in Lebanon, the Taiwan's provocation and the Gaza's genocide. And with regards to the genocide just mentioned, after Israel's president had left 70k tonnes free-fall bombes on civilians, schools, hospitals and refugee shelters, he asked the United States Congress: "Give us the tools faster and we'll finish the job faster" ... and they gave him a standing ovation 53 times.

Ukraine's right to defend itself is praised by many international leaders while Russia's invasion is condemned, but commentators said the same cannot be said about Israel occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which are Palestinian territories.

In 1996 Samuel P. Hungtington wrote "The clash of civilizations", which still is one of the most  influential books of our wartime era. But all that we are witnessing is not a clash between civilizations, it's a clash between civilization and barbarism.

42,409 Palestinians killed since Oct. 2023

42,409 Palestians killed in Israel's attack on Gaza Strip since October 2023.

Just a few figures could help us to understand why this genocide will not go to an end soon, unfortunately. The state of Palestine, which consists of  the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip, was declared in 1988. Since then 146 countries have recognized Palestine as a sovereign state. Consequently, it's easy to see that  many countries that haven't recognised yet Palestine as a state are in a subordinate position to the United States. And, as it is known, Washington's elite are sending weapons and missiles to Israel ... needless to mention that more Jews live in the US than in Israel and Jews represent more almost 10% of the population of New York state.

According to some NGOs, "The world cannot continue to stand by as Israel's government commits these atrocities". In addition to the "orrifying level of atrocity",  since the beginning of October no food has been allowed in Northern Gaza area.

I took a photo of that war ship some months ago. Sorry if some blogger friends are not interested in the genocide taking place in that corner of the Middle East. I will try not to publish any more posts about this topic.

Sweden has lost its policy of neutrality.

Sorry to bore you once again with a geopolitical topic. Unfortunately, I have noticed that world powers want the two wars in Ukraine and Palestine never to go to an end.

Since the Ukraine-Russia war began, back in 2014 (not 2022), Sweden has been hitting by massive propaganda claiming if Swedish people didn't join NATO, Russians would invade them next. I think this is not true, as Russia has no interest in Sweden and its territory, although that  Scandinavian country is on Russia's "Unfriendly countries list".

According to many analists, a clash with Finland could be a more realistic possibility. Obviously, Russia is determined to stop Moldova and Georgia from joining NATO.

On 7th March Sweden became NATO newest member. Consequently, it's easy to see that the Swedish government will be compelled to send soldiers abroad. In addition, Swedish kids would be forced to serve in the military in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and other countries located close to the Russian border.

1st week of the new year

I have just come back from Naples where I spent one week from 30th December to7th  January.

I had nice walks through the historic centre of that town founded by Greeks
     in 474 B.C.

In the meanwhile, on the geopolitic front, in the first week of the new year we have continued to hear of Israel's bombardment on Gaza and Taiwan's provocation. But it seems there is a good news, as Denmark's government has  decided not to transfer the promised F-16 fighters to Ukraine. The fact that  Western equipment and weapons will not shipped to Kyiv is now the main topic in many foreign media.

My sister sent me another picture taken in the early morning. I like to share it. On the right side of the picture there is the island of Capri.

Southern corridor

A political leader's first duty is the welfare, progress and protection of his/her people and country he/she serves. That's why last month Hungary's prime minister, Viktor Orban, apparently issued a warning to his NATO allied. He said that Hungary would "go to war if energy supply were attacked".

In 2022 Germany faced energy crisis after Nord Stream pipelines were attacked. And U.S. journalist Seymour Hersh accused Washington of orchestrating the attack on the two pipelines .

As it is known, Nord Stream 1 and 2 were built to deliver Russian gas to some EU countries via Germany. And despite last year a few world powers worked togheter on blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines, Hungary and Serbia, which are two landlocked countries, can still purchase natural gas from the Caspian basin through the Azerbaijan, Türkiye (Trans Anatolian pipeline) and Bulgaria.

In this perspective, the Hungarian prime minister made recently it very clear that if anybody would like to do the same thing with the Southern Corridor, as it was done with the Nord Stream, his country "will consider it as a reason for war".

Hungary is a true independent and sovereign country, not like Vassal states.

The two above pictures were taken by my daughters in 2019 while they were visiting the capital of Hungary, Budapest.

Have a nice weekend!

Gaza City's people have nothing to do with terrorists

Some bloggers have already wrote something about the war in the Palestinian enclave of Gaza. And while many are acting like nothing happened, some questions haven't been answered yet! Firstly, On Saturday, October 7, Hamas fighters didn't met Israelian soldiers while they were crossing the fence, although Israel had always deployed a lot of soldiers and tanks along the Gaza Strip border in the previous years. In addition, there weren't soldiers in Israel's villages located close to the Gaza-Israel border. And last but not least, how can a musical festival be held close to Gaza Strip? ... mmm ... there is evidence  that Israel had received an official warning from Egypt of a possible attack from Gaza Strip three days before Hamas launched its deadly assault on Saturday, October 7.

In the meanwhile, according to the latest updates, more than 1228 people have been killed in Israel while in Gaza the death toll has climbed to 2329 Palestian killed. I know that some members of our blogging community don't like to discuss of such topic. I will not bore them.

Enjoy the rest of this cloudy Sunday.

Western-centrism

In my opinion there is a biased view that favors, inconsciously or consciously, Western civilization's interests, norms and narratives. In the implementation of international law's principles we can still see that practice of privileging Western interests.

For instance, with regards to the self-determination principle we can easily see some inconsistencies.

According to the Western media's narrative, Catalonia has NO right to secede from Spain, but Kosovo HAS a right to secede from Serbia.

The two Ukrainian provinces of Luhansk and Donetsk have NO right to secede from Ukraine.  But Taiwan has a right to secede from China.

That behaviour is still strictly related to a worldview centered on Western civilization.

The good news is that India Prime Minister has just invited African Union to join G20 as a permanent member. The head of Africa Union has already took seat.

Policy-makers' inconsistency

Walking across the port of my town I still see attack helicopters, which are ready to be shipped to East Europe. In other words, while the UN security council on Ukraine is held, Western countries continue to send weapons and military equipments to Kyiv.

Meanwhile, American diplomat Victoria Nulan is visiting South Africa just before BRICS summit ... she will obviously be delivering threats of the largest arms exporter in the world. Easy to understand she will likely try to sabotage BRICS currency.

On the illegal immigration front, mainstream media system doensn't tell us (Italians) that thousands of illegal immigrants are invading Italy. Another 500,000 are on the way. A real apocalypse. The Italian Prime Minister allows illegal immigrants to invade Italy. 500 a day. And they are all men handling Samsung mobile phones and wearing Adidas or Nike shoes.

If EU policy-makers wanted to help African people, they wouldn't steal human resources from Nigeria and Senegal. They would create job there, on the African continent.

The image below doesn't need any description. I have realized that situations like these were what turned people into hypocrites. Not to mention of brainwashed people 🇸🇩

Northeast China

Last week, on June 8, I shared some pictures which a friend of mine had sent from Northeast China.  I was glad to see some friends of our blogging community ( Veronica , Tanza , Anna and Ashok ) enjoyed his photos. Thanks for the appreciation! He had also sent these ones.

With regards to Northeast China, I have just heard that part of the country will start using Russia's Vladivostok port, reducing freight transport. This means that distance will decrease by more than 800 km from industrial base of Northeast China provinces.

The bad news is that the unemployment rate among young Chinese people has been growing since late 2022, reaching 19.6 % in  early April 2023.

I hope you will have a nice new week!

Pictures sent by a friend of mine

A friend of mine sometimes sends me picture which he takes while he's travelling for job. He is involved in Italian wine export, and he mainly goes to East Asia twice a year.

He recently went to Guannang and Lyanyungang (China). Once back home, he sent me some pictures that he had took while he was working in Northeastern China. The last three photos were taken on a cloudy morning in Lyanyungang, a Chinese town located in Northeastern Jangsu province.

The picture above shows a square completely covered with hundreds of scooters. McDonalds' logo with its golden-arches yellow and red is in the middle of the square.

His pictures remind me the Asia Security Forum, which took place last week. During the meeting China's defence minister, Li Shangfu , said: "It is undeniable that a severe conflict or confrontation between China and the United States will be an unbearable disaster for the world". He also specified that "any attempt to separate Taiwan from China would be met by military response without fearing any adversaries, and regardless of the cost".

Asian powers have bigger population, militaries, and economies ... we see how BRICS members will be able to work together in terms of creating deterrence on the planet

Omnivorous predators

While Ukrainians and Russians people continue to fight a never ending war, an increasingly shrinking pool of mega-corporations are already planning how to continue to make a lot of money in East Europe. As soon as the war goes to an end, those omnivorous predators will continue to exploit poor Ukrainian people. In this perspective, Ukraine President, Zelenskyy, has already held a video conference meeting with Larry Fink, CEO of  BlackRock, one of the world's leading investment managers ... they will be structuring the reconstruction projects in Ukraine.

https://www.president.gov.ua/en/news/prezident-obgovoriv-z-generalnim-direktorom-blackrock-koordi-80105

Sorry to see that the world is already in the hands of such mega-corporations, which will continue to manage, control, and exploit poorest countries. Poor Ukrainian people fell in this trap.

Thoughts about war in East Europe

With regards to the ongoing war in East Europe I think that:

I have never heard that a president, and his wife, of an occupied country have    time to take glamorous photos for a fashion magazine while people and soldiers who live in their country are suffering.

I have never heard of celebrity supporters, such as Mila Kunis, Andrew Garfield and Sarah Jessica, who visit the president of a country engaged in a war against invaders. Since late February 2022 the stage in Kyiv has been set for them.

I have never heard of a president of an occupied country asking USA for no-fly zone, although a fifth grade boy would understand it is not possible.

And last but not least, Russian gas continues to flow through Ukraine, mostly to Slovakia and Austria (1). In other words, since the war began, in late February 2022, invaders' gas has always been flowing through Ukraine. Not to mention of sanctions against Russia that have restricted oil and gas supply.  Consequently,  turmoil in energy markets leads to wind fall gains for U.S. multinational companies.

According to figures, Exxonmobil made a record high profit of $ 56 Billion in 2022. And in 2022 Shell and Chevron had the biggest profit in their history (2). An interesting question may be: who is winning this war? Not Russia. Of course not Ukraine. The winners are United States' oil companies.

I hope I  haven't bored you by writing such inconsistencies about Ukraine-Russia war.

Have a nice week!
