Terrorist attack or act of war

Since the late 1970s the American investigative reporter Seymour Harsh has positioned himself against the various large mass new media that influence many people and shape prevailing currents of thoughts, as journalism rattles the credibility of any criticism. With regards to Harsh's report about the terrorist attack (or act of war) on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, it seems there's a lack of willingness to investigate, as it appaers that the German government has neither the strenght nor the will to look for evidence.  The headline of Seymour Harsh's article, published on 6th February this year, was: "How America took out the Nord Stream pipeline".

In addition, members of the German government are not interested in counter the impression that they have no real interest in investigating the matter of terrorist attacks on the supply of energy through the Nord Stream pipelines. But most people in Germany expect their government comes to the investigation of the act of war and the fact that the revelations indicate their own ally, the USA, is responsible for the distruction of the Germany's infrastructure in the Baltic Sea's international waters.

According to the article above mentioned, there was a clear statement by the US President Joe Biden on 7th February last year. At a press conference with Federal Chancellor Scholz, he said: "If Russia invades, there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it". In that context, a journalist made him a question with regards to the fact that the pipeline is 49% Germany owned. Mr. Biden answered: "I promise we will be able to do that". The author also reminds us of the importance of the public joy expressed by Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland.  Actually, she recently said: "The US Administration is very gratified to know that Nord Stream 2" would not be operating.

Who is behind the bombing of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which was built to carry natural gas from Russia to EU countries? An ostrich that stick its head in the ground trying to hide from predators wouldn't last for long. I think the EU have to find the strongest possible response to a terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea, close to the EU border. We, Europeans, are at a crossroad!

    1. Vabbè, in effetti non facile trovare una spiegazione. Sorprende però il fatto che nessuno vuole indagare.

    1. EU policy-makers also know little about that topic.

      Act of war or terrotist attack? ... there is the complete lack of curiosity among EU elites as to who is reponsible for an act of sabotage against the infrastructure of an EU Member State and the livelihoods of our citizens.

  3. Giorgio you let me speak on a few points.
    1) Olaf Scholz. I have never had any respect for him (Merkel too). I believe that the Germans are largely responsible for the political situation - the war in Ukraine, emigration from Africa to Europe.
    2) In my opinion that Donald Trump was right about NS.
    3. In my opinion that if Donald Trump had been president the war in Ukraine wouldn’t have happened.
    Giorgio my friend I wish you a good weekend!

    1. Hi Anna,

      Thanks in advance for your interesting comment!
      I agree with you, although I don't like Donald Trump. Actually, if Donald Trump had been president, we wouldn't have seen the war in East Europe. Since Joe Biden became President we have seen:
      - provocation towards Russian government, as US, UK and
      Ukraine made three military exercises close to the Russian
      border (Ukraine, 2021);
      - at the June 2021 Brussels summit, the US (with its mask
      called NATO) decided that Ukraine would become a member
      of the North Atlantic Alliance (Brussels, 2021);
      - US & UK have already been sending weaponry to Ukraine
      since 2020.

      I am so sorry to see poor Ukrainian people suffering thanks to that comedian, who sold his country to the US. If he hadn't been an outright US' puppet, he would have agreed on Minsk agreement. Consequently, Ukraine war wouldn't have happened, due to the fact that Minsk agreement stated constitutional reform in Ukraine granting self-government to certain areas of Donbas and restoring control of the state border to the Ukrainian government.

      With regards to the destruction of Nord Stream pipeline, it seems the same act as we saw when the Soviet Union dominated Central and Eastern Europe during the Cold War. As you know, Soviet military interventions took place in East Germany in 1953, Hungary in 1956, Czechoslovakia in 1968, etc. ... Nowadays, someone is doing the same by destroying EU infrastructures with the aim of cutting any relationship between EU and Russia.

      Dear friend, Anna, thank you for sharing your point of view about such interesting point.

      I hope you have a nice weekend :-)

    2. Anna and Giorgio

      If you do not believe me, then listen to the leaders of the EU and NATO more often. Recently, Jens Stoltenberg himself said that this war began in 2014, when Ukraine started shooting at civilians in Donbass (Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics seceded from Ukraine in 2014).

      Donald Trump was the US President from January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2021. He constantly met with Ukrainian Presidents Poroshenko and Zelensky. Why didn't he forbid them to bomb Donbass? Whether Biden or Trump, it doesn't matter!

      Ukraine has been shooting at Donbass since 2014. Russia came to Donbass on February 24 to protect these two republics, which asked for help. Donbass has not been Ukrainian since 2014. Russia entered NOT on the territory of Ukraine, but on the territory of Donbass.

      Whether Biden or Trump, it doesn't matter! Trump is no different from Biden. Only he is younger and smarter.

    3. Giorgio, what kind of intervention are you talking about? I don't know what happened in East Germany in 1953, but Hungary and Czechoslovakia asked for help from the Soviet Union when a coup attempt was made in these countries.
      What lies about the Soviet Union and Russia are being spread in your countries!!!

    4. I've already explained above that nowadays "someone" is doing the same as we saw in East Europe from the 1950s to 1970s, when Soviet troops were stationed in Hungary, Czechoslovakia, etc. ... in the early 1990s the Soviet Army began leaving East Europe countries. Everybody knows that those East Europe countries were outright Soviet Union's satellites. They were compelled to follow the Kremlin.

      Example: the Hungarian revolution began in October 1956 when university students appealed to the civil populace to join them at the Hungarian parliament building to protest against the Soviet Union's geopolitical domination of Hungary through the stalinist government.

      Sorry to see you don't know history!

    5. Hello, Giorgio! You disseminate false information about events in Hungary and Czechoslovakia. Stalin has nothing to do with these events. He died on March 5, 1953.
      You probably read information from Wikipedia. You must know that the USA is an empire of lies. Wikipedia is written by Americans. And in the events of the summer of 1953, they also took an active part in the German Democratic Republic. They were not happy that the Soviet Union had a close connection with East Germany.

      All US policy is built on lies. American schoolchildren are said that the United States released Europe from fascism. And in Japan, the majority of the population is confident that the Soviet Union dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
      Now do not read Wikipedia! I do not advise!
      And the interventions are you, Italians! Why did you come to the territory of Russia during the First World War and the Second World War? We did not call you. And we did not call the Germans either.

    6. ... Stalin died in 1953, but you don't know or don't understand that "stalinist" government continued, unfortunately, in Hungary, Czechoslovakia and other East Europe countries. In 1994 I went to Romania (Craiova) and Bulgaria (Vidin) for job. I was there six months. This gave me the opportunity to listen people. I noticed that people of all social categories, the upper, middle and lower classes, strongly disagreed on both the soviet control and the communist rule throughout Eastern Europe.

  4. Hello, Georgio! Not only Germany received gas from these pipelines, but also other European countries. Germany, Italy, Austria are also the owners of these blown up pipelines. Why are you all silent?
    Russia raises this issue at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
    Nord Stream explosion is a real terrorist act. You say that this is an act of war. Is the United States at a war with Germany, Italy and Austria?

    1. You are wrong, Irina, once again!

      The owners of the Nord Stream consortium are:
      Gazprom international projects LLC (Russian state-owned company Gazprom, 51%);
      Wintershall Dea AG (Germany's largest crude oil and natural gas producer, 15.5%);
      PEG Infrastruktur AG (German company, 15.5%);
      N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie (Dutch natural gas company, 9%);
      ENGIE (French multinational utility company, 9%).

      And once again your information are not correct! ... it's easy to see you are losing credibility.

    2. Hello, Giorgio! I probably was a little mistaken, to whom belongs the pipelines. But I know that Austria also financed the construction of the Nord Stream pipeline. Russia also delivered gas to Italy, but now reduced its supplies.

    3. ... not "probably" and not "a little", Irina! You were completely wrong! Delivering gas to Italy is different from being the owner, as you are wrote mistakenly. Italy has never been the owner!

  5. The question you ask with this post and with its title, whether it is an act of terrorism or war, could have a third answer. It could be a terrorist act and at the same time an act of war as carried out not by soldiers of a state or mercenaries hired by a specific nation, but by extremist groups financed and led, however, by a state - principal. This is why therefore to your question I would answer that it could be an act of terrorist origin in its realization, but at the same time also an act of war, since there could be behind the scenes, the direction of one or more nations interested in hitting that pipeline. Maybe I'm doing "fantageopolitica", I almost wish so...

    1. When I heard the news about the Nord Stream pipeline explosion, one thing came to mind: Germany and other EU countries had bought cheap gas from Russia. Since then, those countries will be compelled to buy more expensive gas from other countries, mainly USA & Norway.
      This is not an evidence, but it can explain many things!

    2. Meanwhile, Russian government has requested that a UN Security Council meeting be held to discuss the Nord Stream gas pipeline sabotage.

      The United Nations Security Council will gather for a meeting on the acts of sabotage at the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines at 3:00 p.m. (11:00 p.m. Moscow time) on Tuesday, February 21, according to the Council’s program released on Monday.
