It seems President Biden has just understood that bombs supplied to Israel have been used in Gaza to kill civilians ... better late than never.
According to the US National Security Council, if Israel were to make significant ground combat operations in South Gaza, we would see innocent people falling victims again and again.
We wait and see.

Biden's purpose is noble, at least so it would seem, but before considering it 100% such it must be said that
1) The stop to sending weapons to Israel if it enters Rafah will be of little or no practical use, given the large arsenal that Israel has at its disposal as well as for previous US shipments.
2) This pacifism combined with Biden's common sense could, in my opinion, be timely. With the elections now around the corner, Trump already ahead in the polls, an Israeli attack on Rafah with Biden supporting him or even just not speaking out in any way or condemning him in a mild way, would be the decisive blow for his certain non re-election as US president so in reality he is just trying to convince the Israeli leader to at least wait for the new election of the US President even if in light of the facts it seems to be a difficult task.

ReplyDeleteAt the UN Security Council, Russian representatives constantly demand an end to the war in GAZA. The EU, as always, is waiting for something. Has Italy ever supported Russia on this issue? I've never heard of this.
The EU silently watched for 8 years as Ukrainian Nazis killed the residents of Donbass. Everyone was silent. And when Russia came to Donbass to protect the inhabitants, the EU declared war on Russia.
From the very first days, the British, the Germans, the French, the Poles and all other residents of the EU have been fighting in Ukraine.
These Leopards and Abrams are controlled not by Ukrainians, but by EU residents.
It is not the case, Irina. The EU hasn't declared war on Russia yet ... the EU countries' ambassadors would leave Russia as soon as possible if the Poland, UK, Germany and other countries were to declare war on Russia.

Not far from me, a dozen kilometers from my city, the police found two burned bodies on private property... They were tiny children - 4 and 5 years old… :( It’s not known exactly what happened, the police aren’t informing for the sake of the investigation. Their mother may have contributed to their deaths...
