After I had read the article written by Pulizer Prize winning USA investigative journalist, Seymour Hersh, two things came to mind: cynical hypocricy and "divide and rule". According to the investigation, the USA and Norway worked togheter on blowing up the two Nord Stream pipelines. Seymour Hersh wrote: ""In June 2022 the Navy divers operating under the cover of a widely publicized mid-summer NATO exercise known as BALTOPS 22, planted the remotely triggered explosives ..."".
As it is know, Norway is a USA satellite and competitor of Russia in natural gas sales to the EU. But it is not a EU member. Norway has never been a EU country.
In this context, Nord Stream is not even exclusively Russian, as it is 49% owned by EU countries. Consequently, one NATO partner, Norway, helps another NATO partner, USA, to blow up the pipeline which is owned by Germany and other NATO partners.
I have heard many USA and EU experts on this topic. And they say that people, who haven't yet understood what is going on, continue to think NATO is an "alliance". People have to face the reality that declining American empire choose to simultaneously launch attacks on all three of its main geopolitical rivals: EU, Russia and China. Rather than fix problems at home, they seek to destroy others instead.
Meanwhile, the German government last week rejected Seymour Hersh's report. According to Berlin, it isn't yet possible to share findings on sabotage. It seems that blowing up Nord Stream pipeline is a truly act of war!
The answer remains open.
Buon pomeriggio!
ReplyDeleteThank you :-)
DeleteI read the article too....
ReplyDeleteSeymour Hersh is one of my favorite writers....
thought, he produced a lot of controversy stories, but at least we know second opinions ....
I don't think Russia and Germany destroyed their own pipeline. Findings about the sabotage haven't been shared yet!
DeleteWe wait and see.
...I am waiting for the "truth!"
ReplyDeleteRight! We wait and see.
DeleteIt is a sad news but practical though for political strategy. No one is saint in the eyes of international politics.
ReplyDeleteTrue! No one is saint in terms of political strategy ... Russian agents (Novichok) also came to public attention after they were used to poison opponents of the Russian government.
DeleteBoth Eddie and I saw this article.
ReplyDeleteWe wait to see, as you say 'The answer remains open.'
Take care, my good wishes.
All the best Jan

Maybe the attack was carried out in response to Russian invasion of East Ukraine and designed to force Germany and other EU countries to end their reliance on Russian gas.
DeleteAs you say, we wait to see.
Hi Giorgio! Giorgio I will say about the current political situation as a Polish: I know Russia, Polish-Russian history we have never been friends. Russia has done a lot of evil to Poland. It’s better for Poland if Russia isn’t a superpower.
ReplyDeleteHello Anna,
DeleteI know that since early 1900s Poland has been between Russia, on the one hand, and Germany on the other hand.
With regards to superpowers, we are going towards a multipolar world. We would see a superpower on the Eurasian continent if China, Russia, Pakistan, Iran and other Asian countries were to join togheter.
This means that the unipolarism will go to an end.
France will leave NATO as soon as its government changes.
Have a nice week, Anna.
I agree with Roentare.
ReplyDeleteNo one is innocent when it comes to politics.
Have a great week ahead, Giorgio.
That's true, Veronica. The problem is that the US destroyed a pipeline owned 49% by EU countries ... maybe Germany and other EU countries didn't agree on cutting ties with Russia. That's the reason why the US sent them such "message".
DeleteThank you for sharing your point of view!
"The answer remains open.". Well, open, the article written by Hersh places each of us at a crossroads: either we continue to believe the angry and contemptuous denials of the governments concerned, which are not even interested in trying to dismantle the contents of that article, or we begin to open the eyes.
ReplyDeleteBy way of an alternative, German government knew that the US had planned to destroy Nord Stream pipeline. We don't know!
DeleteTo sum up, it isn't easy to think that Germany and Russia destroyed their own pipeline.
Seymour Hersh is a talented journalist. He just told the truth.
ReplyDeleteI like the YouTube channels of American journalists like Scott Ritter and Tucker Carlson. They are not afraid to speak the truth.
I hope the investigative journalist and political writer had got some evidence before he wrote the article.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that since the Nord Stream pipelines were destroyed, in Autumn 2022, infrastruttures like power lines and pipelines have become military targets. Unfortunately, it's a new way of warfare.
Thank you for sharing your point of view, Irina!
Giorgio I wish you all the best, joy and much heart from the world on Valentine's Day!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words, Anna :-)
DeleteIn Russia, we have the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, which we celebrate on July 8th.
DeleteValentine's Day is a holiday for perverts and pedophiles. Bishop Valentine married men to each other (now the Pope does), so he was executed.
To Irina:
DeleteAccording to one legend, St. Valentine was a Roman priest and doctor who helped persecuted Christians get married, an action that was reportedly a crime under the Roman emperor Claudius II Gothicus’ rule and led to the saint’s jailing and eventual execution (source: Encyclopaedia Britannica).
Not only Germany, but also Italy and other countries received gas from these pipes. Now pay 10 times more for gas from the USA. Or buy Russian gas from India and China. This will also be more expensive. The explosion of pipelines is a terrorist act!
ReplyDeleteInstead of talking about blown up pipelines, Americans make up stories with balloons. I am sure that the Americans themselves launched these balloons. But, as always, they blame Russia and China.
