Non-immediate effects of Trump's war

While Trump was campaigning for Presidential election in 2024, he said he would not be starting any new wars in the Middle East. On the contrary, there have been massive strikes on Iranian targets for the second time in less than a year. Not to mention of deployment of tens of thousands of US forces in the whole Middle East.

Certainly now, with the loss of some US members of the military, new polling indicates that the majority of US people disapprove of going to war against Iran.

Meanwhile, there are already reverberating economic losses related to Trump's war, as many cruise ship reservations and a lot of booked tourist accomodation have been already cancelled by American tourists

That's how Mr. Trump destroy ecomonomic growth in South Europe 🤨

Huge congrats to Spanish policy-makers, who refused to let the US military use their bases for missions linked to strikes on Iran.

  3. Supporters would argue that strategic decisions in the Middle East are framed as deterrence and force protection rather than “starting a new war,” while critics contend that any escalation carries political, economic, and alliance costs that extend well beyond the region.

    1. That's right. Middle East would need political strategies designed to prevent unwanted action, such as an attack.
Thank you for sharing your interesting thought.

  5. Giorgio, I also thank Spain for its wise decision.
A UN meeting was held on the murder of little Iranian girls, aged only 7 to 12. Russia's UN representative, Vasily Nebenzya, said that 185 children and their teachers were killed.
The murders of the children and Iran's supreme leader united the people of Iran against the aggressors, and they will fight to the end. Trump was confident that the Iranians would capitulate very quickly, knowing nothing about these people. Iranians, unlike Americans, are patriots of their country. They will never surrender. That's why they are like us, the people of Russia.

    1. I'm sorry to say this, but if no one helps the Iranians, they would continue to suffer threats and that Washington's yellow haired dickhead would continue to hit Iran's facilities, schools and hospitals.
In this perspective, Trump has just said US military has "virtually unlimited supply of munitions to attack IRAN".

In international political terms, at the moment the world is not as balanced as it should be.

I strongly agree with the Spanish government.

  6. That man just does what he likes, and must think, who cares what happens to the rest of the people, the economy and so on. Most of the time he's a real dickhead. You might have to lookup that word..lol

  7. This is just crazy! Beyond crazy in fact. Scary times lie ahead of us and I saw that a lot of children died in the bombings as a school was hit.

Honestly Giorgio, I do not understand the world and why in 2026 we have so many wars and people still dying in these. I keep saying this, but it will only get worse before it gets better :-(

With Spain on this one too 100%. Was disgusted to read we are helping them. Starmer is an idiot.

    1. It's not easy to understand beyond war raging in Middle East.
For instance, Iran exported 520 million barrels of crude oil to China in 2025. And more than half of China's crude oil imports come from countries located close to the Strait of Hormuz.
Now, as it is known, the US started this war last week. Why does China, which has more than a billion and a half inhabitants and is a nuclear power, do nothing?
In this context, a 5th rade boy/girl would understand that Washington neocolonial thinking and arrogance would go to an end as soon as a military and political alliance is created on the Asian continent.

  8. In Poland, the events in Iran have once again exposed the incompetence, rudeness and arrogance of "Prime Minister" Donald Tusk.

    1. I've heard Tusk's declaretion. He said that opposition parties in Poland try to destabilise the situation in the country "for no reason at all".
He also declared there were statements that could trigger panic buying, creating real problems where none previously existed.

Three days ago, Tusk announced that Poland is holding talks with France regarding an advanced nuclear deterrence programme.

  9. Giorgio you are too polite referring to the "thing" and Mr. He never does anything without a place to benefit himself. Starting this has nothing to do with what he says. He wants to claim an emergency of war so he can either control or cancel voting in the US. Among other evil things.

    1. That's true, Nicole. You already said that he is creating chaos. And in the midst of chaos there is also opportunity, as he may issue the martial law, in order to postpone the midterm elections.
American electors made a big mistake.
