Still blaming each other

As it is known, the two gas pipelines through the Baltic sea, which were recently damaged, don't belong entirely to a Russian company or Russia's government. European companies and Russian company Gazprom invested Billions of dollars to set up the infrastructure that probably faced sabotage attack. And according to seismologists, the two pipelines were hit by strong underwater explosions.
Although the USA have always been a strong opponent of EU's energy dependance on Russian company Gazprom, it isn't easy to understand who planned the attack

Italy's first female Prime Minister

Far-right Giorgia Meloni and her right-wing alliance will have control of both houses of the Italian Parliament. Election night victory is Mrs. Meloni first step to become Italy's first female Prime Minister.

But don't worry! This doesn't change anything, as unemployment will continue to rise and weapons & missiles will be shipped to Ukraine again and again. And migrants smugglers will continue their dirty job. Not to mention that many so called migrants, who arrive in South Italy from North Africa (who are only men), wear Adidas & Nike shoes and have Sansung smartphone.

We see what she will be able to do.

In the meanwhile, the outgoing Italy's Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, has been honoured with the World Statesman Award by Rabbi Arthur Schneider. The latter is Appael of Conscience Foundation's president and founder. During the gala cerimony, in New York early last week, the former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger sat beside Draghi at the reception in the Pierre Hotel.

It's easy to see who rules the Western World!

Italy's 2022 general election

It seems a right-wing coalition will win the Italy's election which will be held on 25 September 2022. This means that far-right leader, Giorgia Meloni, should be the new prime minister.

The rise of energy prices, which is strictly related to the Ukraine war, has become a key issue in the election, due to cost of living crisis. That's the main raison why many Italians hope next government will drop Russian sanctions. There are some countries, like India, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, that continue to hold financial dealings and economic relationships with both Russia and the EU (and US & UK). This means that the politicians of the three countries just above mentioned are strongly interested in their own people. And, most importantly, they are not compelled to follow any puppeteer.

Many Italians hope their govenment (and the EU) will do the same. Unfortunately, there are proofs of some Western multinational companies interest in drawing the fighting in Ukraine for as long as possible. They can continue to do this thanks to their puppets.

Importance of posidonia oceanica

The water in the picture above seems polluted, considering those dead leaves. But it is not the case, as it is not polluted. It's clean. Posidonia oceanica is a seagrass that constitutes extensive meadows throughout virtually the whole Mediterranean sea. And the accumulation of Posidonia oceanica dead leaves on the beaches of the Mediterranean shores represents a valuable resource.

The presence of Posidonia Oceanica's dead leaves on the beaches of the Mediterranean sea is a natural phenomenon, which indicates high-quality marine coastal environment.  In addition,  it also has a protective role.
The mechanical removal may affect the integrity of the beach ecosystem, due to the fact that it can lead to a loss of sediment and coastal erosion.
In Mallorca (Spain) and Sardinia (Italy) we saw a severe impact on the beach profiles due to the mechanical removal and displacement of the posidonia beach-dune system.

Last month I took the five pictures above along Italian beaches located in Central Italy.

The picture  below of underwater posidonia oceanica had been downloaded from the internet (It has no copyright).

Local administrations across the whole Mediterranean sea are often the only body responsible for the management of the seagrass beach casts.

The last picture just above reminds me that people who own houses so close to the see are very lucky.

Laundering Russian gas

Since Ukraine invasion (and Western sanctions) began early this year, Russia has been gradually reducing gas supply to Europe, first to 40% of total capacity, and then to 20%. Consequently, some EU countries have been looking for alternative sources. And Europe's companies have started to buy gas from Chinese refineries, that are the largest importers of gas from Russia (up to 60%).

This means that Russians sell liquefied natural gas to China, that has no use for such imported product. That's why China has no choice but to resell Russian gas to Europe. In other words, Europe's countries don't buy Russia's gas directly, but they're buying the same Russian product from elsewhere. The world is filled with so much hypocrisy!

Black sheep

A dear friend of mine has just sent me the picture below. But I haven't understood if it is related to the pandemic (and its vaccine's moral obbligation) or the energy crisis. Otherwise, the picture may also be related to the ongoing war that began in late February close to EU borders. Does the Ukraine-Russia war become a never ending war? ... as we've already seen in Syria, Libya, Yemen, etc.

Meanwhile, people who rule the world are trying to trigger another war on the Pacific front (East Asia) ... $ 1,100 Billion missiles will be shipped to the island of Taiwan as soon as possible.

Nice weekend to the blogging community :-)
