While the epidemic is still spreading, the Winter holiday season may bring risk of increased Covid-19 transmission, mainly through the Northern hemisphere. According to the WHO, there is an high risk of a new wave of Coronavirus infections in the first three months of 2021. This year has changed a lot our behaviors, as some EU countries, such as France, Spain and Italy, will replace lockdown with a curfew from 22:00 to 06:00.
Although new lockdown measures will be in place in Europe until the first week of January, many people would like to enjoy Christmas time and New Year's Eve with their parents and friends. Actually, since 20th December we have seen big crowds of Christmas shoppers mainly in Italian towns.
The safest way to spend Christmas time this year is with our own household in our home. 🎄

Oh so the lockdown measures will be replaced by a curfew that will go into effect in the first week of January 2021. I think that's a good decision. Where people still feel more free even though they are limited by curfews.
According to the news on television there is a new variant of covid 19 from the UK. In our country, flights to and from the UK are temporarily closed.

Actually, a new variant of COVID-19 have been detected last week in many countries, such as Italy, Lebanon, Canada, Australia, Singapore, etc.
The main problem is that a variant found in the United Kingdom could be up to 70 percent more transmissible.
The good news is that that variant is not able to evade vaccines or treatments.

Speriamo che questo sia l'anno della sconfitta del virus, che ha gettato tante famiglie nella disperazione e che ha costretto tutti quanti noi alla relegazione in casa.
