Trevignano Romano street view

This morning I spent a few hours in a small village located close to lake of Bracciano, a few kilometers North from Rome. In that small village there is a good technician who make orthopedic insoles. That's why I went to this lovely village.

The weather was so cloudy. It's typical of Autumn.

On this cloudy morning a saw an unusual pink & red mural while I was walking through the village. Unfortunately I dind't see the name of its author.

On the way back home I also enjoyed a path covered with brown leaves and fall colours of the trees surroundings the village.

The good news is that I didn't see waste left in the wood surrounding the village 🍄🍂🌰

Washing needs to be dried

In my previous post there were two pictures showing clothes hung out. I mentioned this point after I had noticed that tourists sometimes took photos of the washing while they are walking through the historic centre. Maybe they disagree on this, although people washing needs to be dried, as mentioned by Jan in her comment.

With relation to washing, another blogging friend, Ananka , also wrote that people need to do that.  I understand that elderly people can't carry their washing on the rooftop, as in many old buildings there isn't any elevator.

But the problem is that there are facade decorations on some old buildings, and hanging out clothes on the facade architecture is not a nice thingh to look at.

The solution could be to buy a clothes dryer.

... many times it is sold with free shipping on Alibaba, Amazon, etc.🤭

Saturday street view

There are many black birds flying in the sky on this sunny Saturday morning. It's a very good sign to experience.

It's a real pleasure to see that the facades of historic buildings have been just renovated. That colour is called Pompeian red, as it was born with the discovery  of the archaelogical site of Pompei in the 18th century.

Sorry to see clothes hanging on the facade of old buildings located in the historic centre of the town 🤭
There isn't any elevator in those old historic buildings. That's why elderly people are compelled to hang out clothes, which they have washed, on the historic facade as they can't get onto the rooftops.

Just a photo of the medieval part of the town taken from the rooftops.

Have a nice weekend!

Proceno castle

I took the above photo last month while I was visiting the old castle of Proceno. The family who own the castle have transformed their property in a guest house in an attempt to repopulate the old village of Proceno and its surroundings.

The property and its ten apartments are in great location in the historical area. They also serve a delicious continental breakfast of bread, cheese, fruit, grain like barley or oats, butter and honey. Proceno castle's breakfast also consists of  coffee, milk, tea and fruit juice, obviously.

I was glad to see some British tourists, who spent their holiday there at the castle. I saw them while they were enjoying the narrow alleys of the village surrounding the castle.

We decided to stay there at the Proceno castle guest house two days, as some friends of ours live in a village nearby. Each apartment has its front door and their furnishing style is combined with the architectural context and the site's prior use.

All Saints' day is both a public and religious holiday in Italy on the 1st  November.

Have a nice month of November 🍂
