Two grasshoppers
This post was inspired by our Scottish blogging friend Ananka, as she sometimes shows marvelous creatures on her blog. I've just taken two pictures in my Mother's garden.
Those little grasshoppers are so cute. It's so cool that you thought of your friend Ananka and decided to share them. I read her blog too. They look so happy just hanging out in the garden. Have a great weekend yourself.
Hi Giorgio, These grasshoppers are beautiful!!! Unfortunately, I've seen very few of them this year compared to previous years. I even told my mom today that there are no butterflies, bees, bumblebees, or grasshoppers this year :( Giorgio, I hope you're having a nice weekend? Best regards!
Hello, Giorgio! Unfortunately, I haven't seen any grasshoppers this summer. I spent all of June and July working in the garden (weeding and watering flowers), but I didn't see these little creatures.
I followed your blog back in the day when I was into running. I came upon you again while visiting another blog. Some summers there are so many grasshoppers here that I am jumping around them just as much as they are jumping around me!
Hi Alexandra, how can I forget your Canadian hiking paths with varying difficulty levels? Great to hear from you :-) I will visit your blog soon. Thanks for reading my post and leaving your comment.
...grasshopper are hopping around here too!
ReplyDeleteIt seems there are few predators that feed on grasshoppers.

It’s wonderful how Ananka's posts can spark our own discoveries, especially in a place as familiar and dear as your mother’s garden
ReplyDeleteI like Ananka's photos of natural environment.
DeleteThis is interesting. I have lived here almost 20 years and have never seen a grasshopper. Except this year I have seen two.
ReplyDeleteGrasshoppers are known for their ability to move large distances.

ReplyDeleteThere creatures change location as they travel.
DeleteMy dear blogger friend Ananka!
ReplyDeleteIn a healthy garden, there are certainly many creatures, Giorgio!
Have a pleasant Sunday!
Thank you, Katerina.
DeleteGood captures of the grasshoppers of which I haven't seen for years. I don't know where they are hiding these days. Years ago, I'd see a lot of them.
ReplyDeleteMany grasshopper species can also fly, allowing them to cover even greater distances. That's why you haven't seen them for years.
