On a sunny Saturday, July 1st

Since the first decade of June Italian children have been enjoying Summer holidays. The picture above shows a boy while he was enjoying an ice-cream on the Italian beach of Santa Marinella (Central Italy, 60 km North from Rome) 🔆

Italian students have very long Summers break covering from early June to early September. It seems Italian students' Summer break is the longest in Europe, as schools are closed for around thirteen weeks 🇮🇪

How long is the Summer break in your country⁉️

I hope you will have a nice month of July ⛵

  1. Giorgio, congratulations on the start of July! In Russia, schoolchildren and students have summer holidays too. The holidays for younger students began on June 1, and on September 1 they will return to school. But schoolchildren of grades 9 and 11 take exams in May-June.
Students also have exams in May-June. On September 1, classes for schoolchildren and students begin.

  5. Very nice summer photographs.
In England our schools have a six week summer break.
Universities are different they have a longer break, but of course many students then work through the holiday ...

Enjoy your weekend and happy July wishes.

    All the best Jan

  7. Gorgeous photos, Giorgio.
We don't have summer breaks but we have 4 term breaks over here in my corner of the world. The first 3 term breaks are a week long and the final term break at the end of the year is 2 weeks long.

    Happy Sunday!

  11. These are lovely images. There is something uniquely appealing in seeing children enjoying summer and a break from school. School here finishes at the end of June and resumes right after Labour Day (the first Monday in September).
