42,409 Palestinians killed since Oct. 2023

42,409 Palestians killed in Israel's attack on Gaza Strip since October 2023.

Just a few figures could help us to understand why this genocide will not go to an end soon, unfortunately. The state of Palestine, which consists of  the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip, was declared in 1988. Since then 146 countries have recognized Palestine as a sovereign state. Consequently, it's easy to see that  many countries that haven't recognised yet Palestine as a state are in a subordinate position to the United States. And, as it is known, Washington's elite are sending weapons and missiles to Israel ... needless to mention that more Jews live in the US than in Israel and Jews represent more almost 10% of the population of New York state.

According to some NGOs, "The world cannot continue to stand by as Israel's government commits these atrocities". In addition to the "orrifying level of atrocity",  since the beginning of October no food has been allowed in Northern Gaza area.

I took a photo of that war ship some months ago. Sorry if some blogger friends are not interested in the genocide taking place in that corner of the Middle East. I will try not to publish any more posts about this topic.

  2. Giorgio, unfortunately, but I fear that this monstrous conflict will continue for a very long time to come...
We live in a world where it's not people and their well-being that matters, but interests :(

    1. True, dear friend! There are interests related to the military industrial complex. In addition, there is natural gas at 20 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza ... that's why Israel is interested extending its sovereignty over that Palestinian strip of land. Now Israel's policy-makers think Gaza Strip is a land without a people.

  3. That really is a sad stat Giorgio. A lot of people in one year. I know there have been several protests over here in Glasgow and Edinburgh about this. It is like they want total annihilation of the Palestine people. I really don't understand why people are ignoring this. I can only see there being more genocide in other countries.

Some humans do care, but sadly not enough. We might end up killing the human race at some point in the near future. I find it strange that we are all on this little planet in the middle of space trying to survive yet we cannot live in peace or harmony. And we have the down right audacity to call ourselves "civilised"!!! The crows and birds and creatures I post photos of are much more civilised than us humans!

Post what you want Giorgio, I am sorry to read that some people are unhappy with this reality you post about.

    1. There are many interests related to that human tragedy, dear Ananka. You are right, as how can we have the right to call ourselves "civilised"? Completely agree on this, as we are all complicit.
Thank you for sharing your interesting point of view!

  4. It is a human tragedy. I can only cry when I see the pictures and hear how many people have already died.
We have to talk about it, we can't be indifferent to it.

  5. The war is always tragic that no one benefits. The warship sunset photo is somewhat beautiful though

  6. Dear Giorgio! Thank you for posting about the Gaza Strip. Everything that is happening there is inhumane. Netanyahu is a real criminal. We all know what the Nazis did to the Jews during World War II. What is Israel doing now? Honest people all over the world currently have a negative attitude towards Israel.
Who gives Israel weapons? Everyone knows that it is the United States. The United States is a country that lives off war.
In the United States, Hurricane Milton caused great destruction to civilians. It seems to me that the American government is not going to help people who suffered from the hurricane, because the money goes to the war in Ukraine and Israel.

October 7 marked a year since the war between Israel and the residents of the Gaza Strip began. Israel is now at war with 5 countries.

    1. You are right, dear Irina, as if the US were not to trigger wars and conflicts across the world, their economic system would shrink and unemployment would rise.
Thank you for sharing such an interesting comment.

    3. Hello, dear Irina.
The problem is that Israel has learned that no matter what they do, the US will always find a way to justify and provide political cover for them. I don't think it's sustainable. Late last month the Turkish President said that countries who support Israel are complicit in such a genocide. He was also calling for an "alliance of humanity" to stop Israel. Turkey halted all trade with Israel and applied to join a genocide case against Israel at the World Court.

  7. The numbers are terrible and they will get worse, as there seems no end in sight.

I did see on todays UK news that some food and relief supplies are beginning to get through/be allowed through but I don't think it will be enough.

    All the best Jan

    1. Hello, Jan! That's a great news, although food and medicines supplied are not enough, as you mentioned.

On the other hand, unfortunately, northern Gaza’s Jabalia camp has been under siege by Israel’s military since early October. On 19 October 33 Palestinians have been just killed and more than 80 wounded in Israeli strike.
In addition, Israeli forces are still targeting al-Awda and Kamal Adwan hospitals in northern Gaza. They have been hitting hospitals and refugee camps since last years, and the main world powers agree on this.

      Thanks for sharing your comment!

  10. I'm interested, worried and totally broken, and if other readers don't like these photos, don't want to know anything about this genocide, well sorry for the words I'm going to use now "fuck them all!". Maybe we could think to find some bloggers who really take care about it and decide one day every month, when all the bloggers make a post about this tragedy: an article, a post a poem... Then, obviously Everyone is free to post about it all the other days too, but in that particular day, 3,4,9,14 blogs will together turn on the lights on this genociee. I won't shut my mouth and it's disgusting even only to imagine one person not wounded inside and not suffering watching all this pain, all this death.

    1. It's so simple, dear Olga! I have clicked on "follow" ("segui" in Italian language) at the top of your blog's main page. Maybe some blogging friends from other countries don't understand the Italian word "segui", which means "follow". It is located just below you blog's headline "Blog del Friuli", on left side.
I could explain this point in my next post, if it suits you.

      Warm wishes,
      Giorgio

  13. This is so heartbreaking.
The loss of so many innocent lives is hard to comprehend, and it’s important that we don’t look away.
Thank you for sharing this — raising awareness matters, even if it’s uncomfortable for some.
My heart goes out to everyone suffering through this.

Have a great week ahead, Giorgio.

    1. Completely agree on this! Today's conflicts are fuelled by a steady supply of arms, missiles and replacement parts.
If United States were not to sell weapons & missiles, their economy would collapse immediately along with global stock markets.

Es una utopia y un bonito sueño pensar que viveremos alguna vez todos hermanados , confraternizando y ayudandonos, pero no deja de ser un sueño
Un spot para reflexionar, saber que estamos haciendo mal.
