Text neck

Yesterday on the way back from Rome the train was so crowded.  I noticed that most people where using their mobile phone for extended periods.

The term text neck in mainly referred to mobile phone neck problems. Prolonging forward head posture while using mobile phones may cause neck pain and headaches.

This posture strains the neck muscles and spine, potentially causing long-term damage if not addressed.

In addition to this, I saw that no one had a book or a newpaper in their hands.

The above picture shows a man who sent messages while his poor dog was patiently waiting. He can't say that he loves his dog.

I hope you'll have a nice weekend ☕☀🥐

  1. Hi Giorgio, it annoys me to see this, and it is everywhere. Here in Montreal I saw a woman pushing her baby 👶 in a stroller while she was texting on her phone. As well, I see people crossing the street and instead of watching where they are going, they are looking down at their phone.

  2. I didn't know of such a thing, but can see how people can and could get neck problems from mobile phone texting and looking at it.

  3. Yes, bad for the neck. However, it is safer to look down on the phone than on the surrounding passengers. You never know who gonna bash you up

  5. Yes, Giorgio, a large number of people here look like that too, their heads bent down toward their phones. They often have children, a partner, or a dog next to them and don't even glance at them. The phone gets their undivided attention.
The neck problems are just one unpleasant aspect of this cult. The carelessness of these people sometimes really annoys me. I also feel so sorry for the little children who have no one around them to share their impressions of the world and what's happening around them. Children are just learning everything, and nobody cares.

I wish there would be a change in thinking and that fellow human beings would once again become more important than a cell phone in one's hand. :)

    Happy weekend
