It's a nightmare for both tourists and companies

While many tourists were demanding their money back between January and July, seven and half millions of flight were cancelled.

Since the second quarter this year there have been fewer jobs in the companies that design, manifacture, and sell airplanes, and some big companies based in the Middle East, such as Emirates,  Etihad, and Qatar Airways, have announced job losses and pay cuts of up to 50%.

The last three pictures I took while I was travelling by plane last year:

                                           Stromboli island (South Italy)

Bracciano lake (Central Italy, 30 km north from Rome)

I love travelling by plane above the clouds. Plane pilots sometimes do so because of less resistance in the atmosphere.

  1. I am also sad to see that many types of businesses including airlines are starting to look towards the brink of bankruptcy.

Photos of your holiday memories from the plane look amazing.

    1. That's true! Unfortunately many companies are on the brink of bankruptcy. Four months ago Emirates decided to convert ten of its boeing 777 to carry freight, considering the increasing demand in the cargo market ✈
Thanks for sharing you point of view 😃

    2. Your welcome, Giorgio 🙏.

Due to this pandemic, several business sectors have collapsed. But there are also pharmaceutical and convection companies (especially face masks) whose market demand has increased quite sharply.
Well, hopefully this pandemic will not drag on and its spread will not stop.

      Happy activities for you, Giorgio.
Always keep yourself healthy to the maximum.

  2. This is so sad...
    Have a lovely December, Giorgio!

  3. I am very concerned that the Covid pandemic situation has caused all aspects of the economy to fall. Not only small companies, large-scale companies also fell to their knees.
Large airlines are forced to reduce the number of employees on a large scale and cut salaries in half so that the company's operations can continue.
The photos of you traveling by plane last year were definitely a fun and enjoyable moment.
No one would have thought that in 2020 we all could not travel as freely as in the past.
Hopefully this pandemic condition will pass soon
    Have a nice weekend
    Best regards

    1. True, I would have never thought that an epidemic could affect the whole world economy. On the other hand, since the epidemic began in early 2020, some businesses have been rising sharply, such as on line stores, pharmaceutical companies, etc.
      Have a nice Sunday 😃

    2. Yes, it's true that the epidemic has an impact on the world economic recession.
But it has a positive impact on the pharmaceutical industry, and online shops. Where people prefer to shop online ..
People have become more aware of the importance of hygiene and health since the epidemic began.
      May the epidemic pass quickly.
      Have a nice day .

    3. Experts say January and February will be dangerous too in terms of epidemic spreading. Actually, in late December Italians may not follow social distancing rules, because of Christmas time's celebration and New Year's Ewe. Anyway, this year the Italuan PM doesn't allow evening parties, where people dance and watch fireworks.
P.S.: I didn't see on your blog the frame of your followers.

    4. If what the experts say is true, then this month we should all be more careful, vigilant and increase our resilience to the January and February outbreaks.
Oh, so at the end of December Italians can't follow the rules of social distancing, because there are Christmas and New Year celebrations. I understand that it can be difficult to apply social distancing to Christmas and New Year's celebrations. At least there is already a ban in Italy to not allowed night parties and fireworks to avoid and prevent crowds.
Oh sorry on my blog, actually I have included my followers framework. But somehow none of my follower frames didn't appear. I'll try to fix it in my blog layout later
      Thank you for your correction.
      Have a nice day

    1. Grazie per il pensiero :-) ... diversamente dal solito, questo lunedì lo considero un "pezzo" del c.d. ponte dell'immacolata.
      Buona festa dell'immacolata, Paola.

  9. We booked a trip to Italy on March 9th 2020 and were supposed to fly with Omar Air. The trip was cancelled 2 days before the departure date and we have not heard from the travel agency or airline since. I am keeping my fingers crossed that both companies have not gone belly up. Many travel agencies have gone under and I know of many friends who work in the tourism industry who have lost their jobs.

    Happy Monday, Giorgio!
