Pictures sent by a friend of mine

A friend of mine sometimes sends me picture which he takes while he's travelling for job. He is involved in Italian wine export, and he mainly goes to East Asia twice a year.

He recently went to Guannang and Lyanyungang (China). Once back home, he sent me some pictures that he had took while he was working in Northeastern China. The last three photos were taken on a cloudy morning in Lyanyungang, a Chinese town located in Northeastern Jangsu province.

The picture above shows a square completely covered with hundreds of scooters. McDonalds' logo with its golden-arches yellow and red is in the middle of the square.

His pictures remind me the Asia Security Forum, which took place last week. During the meeting China's defence minister, Li Shangfu , said: "It is undeniable that a severe conflict or confrontation between China and the United States will be an unbearable disaster for the world". He also specified that "any attempt to separate Taiwan from China would be met by military response without fearing any adversaries, and regardless of the cost".

Asian powers have bigger population, militaries, and economies ... we see how BRICS members will be able to work together in terms of creating deterrence on the planet

  2. China is maybe, now, the world's first superpower. China is reach, China owns many companies in the world, China, if I remember well, has bought in the past many US government bond and so is one of the most important creditor of USA. If China, tomorrow would sell all these bonds, USA would be dead in a second. In China people are not free, so every decision of the Government can be taken faster than in USA. China is absolutely in this historical period, the world's first superpower

    1. Have you ever been to China? I think you haven't. Why do you think that the Chinese are not free? It is in European countries and in the US there is no freedom of speech.

  3. You are right ... with regards to public debt the U.S. is in a mess.

Meanwhile, Chinese warship cut off U.S. Navy vessel as tension between the two countries escalate.

  4. Giorgio very interesting photos. I have never been to China. That photo with the scooters is really impressive!
I talk about politics in my opinion China wants to be the biggest superpower in the world. I’m afraid of that too.
My friend I salute you and I wish you a good Corpus Christi holiday tomorrow!

    1. Unfortunately, true! And it isn't easy to deal with such issue, as Beijing says the island is part of its mainland territory. On the contrary, Washington says Taiwan is a sovereign state.

  7. Good afternoon Giorgio! European countries prospered because they bought Russian cheap energy resources and had trade relations with China.
They themselves refused Russian natural gas and oil. At the present time the US does the best to make Europe to cut off all relations with China.
Why don't EU leaders see that the US wants to bankrupt European countries?

    1. mmm ... I'm afraid some EU politicians still continue to follow Washington's orders. In this perspective, yesterday former Prime Minister of Italy said publicly: "Russia must be defeated or it will be the end of Europe”. The main business is strictly related to the military-industrial complex. Not to mention of Ukraine's reconstruction.
Unfortunately, there are many Washington's well payed puppets across Western Europe.

    2. According to the American and Ukrainian media, Russia blew up ITS OWN Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, which was in the territory controlled by Russia, thereby depriving the Russian Crimea of water.
The explosion of the dam brought great harm to Russia. At the present time there is NO water in Crimea and in the Kherson region. 36 settlements were destroyed, 40,000 Russian people were left without housing and light, 5 people died, 41 people were injured. While the Russian rescuers are evacuating people, the Ukrainian Nazis are shooting at them.
To cool the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, water from the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant was used. Also, this water is needed to irrigate fields with wheat and other crops.
Is Russia at war with Russia?

    4. Ciao, Giorgio! I know that you don't believe me. Nowadays, everyone is accustomed to blaming Russia for the crimes committed by the Ukranazis. We have proof that the Kakhavskaya GRES was blown up by Ukraine. First, fragments of American missiles. Secondly, there was an article in the Washington Post in November 2022 in which the Ukrainian general Kovalchuk boasted that they, the Ukrainians, were shelling this hydroelectric plant in 2022.
Our political scientists found this article and showed it on television.

    5. Dear Irina,
an article written in 2022 by the Washington Post couldn't be cosidered evidence. I think that (Unfortunately) this is a war. That's why the States engaged in war are not compelled to look for proofs. It is easy to understand which State was (and still is) interested in such attack, although Russia and Ukraine are each blaming each other for the dam's destruction.

With regard to proofs, I have heard that Germany's officers, who are involved in the investigation of the Nord Stream attack, have examined evidence suggesting a sabotage team used Poland as an operating base to blow up the Nord Stream. But, as above mentioned, we already know who was interested in such attack.
