China's increasing power

Since early 2000s China has been increasing its economic power, technological strenght, and national defense capability. Not to mention of Beijing's significant role in global politics. For example, in 2024 China showed its considerable role of being a reliable peacemaker between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Furthermore, China and India have recently agreed to carry out active interaction at all levels on bilateral and multilateral opportunities, powerfully built strategic communication, and enhance mutual political trust. I am so glad to hear such a great news, as in terms of international politics it means that unipolarism will not exist anymore. It's easy to see that the only country that owns military basis in more than 80 states around the world will be compelled to share its power.

The fact that Beijing is now hit by Trump tariffs on steel and aluminium leeds me to think that the US is challenging China using many tactics, including economic restrictions and military encirclement.
Sovereignity and dignity of all countries do not have to be subordinated to the hegemonic countries' investment management companies.

  2. Now wouldn't it be nice to try to establish dialogue and have channels of communication to foster cooperation at best, tolerance at least, instead of unnecessary belligerence and confrontation? China is a world power and that's a simple fact. Taunting them with tariffs and other idiocy is truly counter-productive.

    1. I hope those countries hit by Trump's tariffs will be negotiating with the US ... it might be the only way to achieve practical results.

  7. Maybe China and India will participate in the peace talks between Russia and the US.
Of course, Ukraine will not. When Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill met in 1943 in Tehran, in 1945 in Yalta and Potsdam, Hitler was not invited there. Countries that fought on Hitler's side were not present either.
Therefore, neither Zelensky nor the EU will participate in the peace talks. Germany and France showed themselves in the Minsk peace agreements that they could not be trusted.

    1. The peace agreement will be signed by the two states that are engaged in the Ukraine-Russia war.

Your comparison with Yalta is completely beside the point, as Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt did not sign any peace agreement. What I am trying to explain is that Russia, United States and Great Britain were fighting against Germany, Japan, Italy, Romania, Finland, Hungary, etc. ... That's why Hitler was not invited.

    2. I never wrote that Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill had signed a peace treaty. They were allies, not enemies.

    3. Well, now I hope you have understood why Hitler was not invited at Yalta meeting (as you mentioned).
