Unfortunately, the air conditioners on the facade of this 19th century building are less beautiful that the blackbirds. Those awful machines alter the perspective of those old Italian windows with their typical wooden shutters.
Have a nice weekend!
The aim of this blog is to try to highlight some challenges facing the world, such as crowded megacities, poor living conditions, water shortages, dangerous waste disposal, and arrogant powers behind warmongering. I am interested in sharing opionions and reading your comments.
Seems like the birds and air conditioners are in harmony, wish you a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, same to you.
DeleteThat air conditioner view is iconic and cultural though
ReplyDeleteI just noticed a contrast between the charm of the old buildings and the modern eyesores.

All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise~Paul McCartney / John Lennon
... Paul McCartney's words were a message to Black students, mainly black girls, facing discrimination in the 1960s.
DeleteGreat song !
Uy que lindos. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to see the beautiful birds 🐦
ReplyDeleteI like watching those lovely creatures in the urban environment.
DeleteInteresting to see the blackbirds in the street, we wouldn't hear, in our backyards we do see some sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThose A/C do take away the beauty of the building but where else can they put them!
Maybe they could put A/C machines on the rooftops, but it would be more expensive.
DeleteI love the way you captured the contrast between the old-world charm of the alley and the modern eyesores stuck to the building. The blackbirds definitely add a little magic to the scene—probably just hoping for a free meal!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!
Thank you for the appreciation :-)
DeleteHello, Giorgio! I hope you are OK. Blackbirds also live in my country.
ReplyDeleteI saw many of them In Scotland, England, and Ireland.
DeleteOh dear about the modern eyesores!
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to see blackbirds.
Wishing you a good weekend and a happy new month of June.
All the best Jan

ReplyDeleteFor me, the windows with their wooden shutters are inextricably linked to Italy. When closed, the room is bathed in warm light. :)
I wish you a very nice evening
That's true, Andrea. I mainly see here in Italy window like those.
DeleteBeautiful photos blackbird :) I, just today, bought dry food for the birds that arrive in my yard. Blackbirds are too :)
ReplyDeleteGiorgio, I wish you a pleasant Saturday evening and Sunday!
Great to hear you can feed blackbirds and other birds in your backyard.
DeleteThey are lovely birds. Very common over here. :-D
ReplyDeleteOld meets modern with the air con! Something we don't need over here in our houses!
Come to my house I have black birds, ravens and others that hang out in my yard. The AC don't look great but I bet they feel great. LOL
ReplyDeleteThose blackbirds probably find lots to eat on city streets.
