The above photo shows the Vatican's nativity scene that was unveiled on the 15th of December in St. Peter Square.
The nativity scene is surrounded by Vatican police officers, who are responsible for public order and crime prevention. If someone wanted to visit Vatican square and St. Peter Basilica, he/she would have to pass through Vatican police security checkpoints.

That nativity scene is beautiful! Merry Christmas Giorgio!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Alexandra. May your home be filled with joy and happiness π Happy Christmas.
Delete...a beautiful and busy place for Christmas. Giorgio, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas to you, Tom ☃️π¦π
DeleteIt’s fascinating to see the scale of the Vatican’s preparations that tree is absolutely massive. I love the detail about the nativity scene being modeled after the Grado lagoon this year. It’s such a unique touch to bring that coastal, "watery" history right into the heart of the square. It really puts the "big" in the big city festivities, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas to you! I hope your day is filled with peace and that you have a wonderful time celebrating, whether you're visiting a square or just relaxing at home. Cheers.
Thank you, Melody :-)π¦❄π
